The Knowle Park Trust was created following the desire of the landowner to open up this incredible space (Knowle Park in Cranleigh) to the public.

The current landowner offered the parkland and significant funding as part of a community benefits package when planning consent was granted for the West Cranleigh Nurseries scheme.

Outline planning permission for Knowle Park was granted in 2017, and Knowle Park Trust was established as a registered charity (registered no. 1176590) to take responsibility for the park upon completion.

Knowle Park will be owned by Knowle Park Trust in perpetuity for the benefit of the local community.

The current trustees have worked tirelessly for this unique opportunity believing that the park’s creation will protect a strategically located and vulnerable area of beautiful open space for future generations.

Knowle Park creates a wonderful opportunity in the future for education and events while balancing the ecological and other aims of the charity. It will become a place where people and nature can co-exist in harmony.

Consultants supporting the parkland scheme include Surrey Wildlife Trust (SWT) Ecology Services, RoSPA, the emergency services, playground designers, the architect (of the public WCs), and suppliers of the various components proposed for the park.
